Hello everyone!

We’ve been back for three days now and I’m still trying to hang onto every moment I experienced with all of you at Garland Farms. I feel like I had a life altering experience and now I’m trying to figure out how to apply it to what I do every day. Either that or change what it is I do every day! That will probably take more time and thought, but being in the mountains of Georgia and experiencing the aura (or aurora) of what you have created was such a privilege and has caused some disruption in my psyche! (all for the better, I might add) Thanks so much for letting us in so completely. Our time with you surpassed all expectations, even though I had no clue what to expect.

As far as the riding, I continue to be in awe of the dressage discipline and have many times relived my riding experience and Gina’s approach. It’s amazing to me that you could take a complete beginner and:

1. Make me feel as comfortable as you did, and
2. Help me learn and accomplish as much as I did in those short three days.

I got on the Internet the other night and read all I could about dressage. It’s such an exciting world and I look forward to more time with you in the future. As you can see, for me, the experience was about so much more than riding the horses. But my guess is, after spending time on Garland Farms, many people feel this way.

Ainsley and I have had many wonderful conversations since we have left all of you; she also learned a lot and felt so comfortable. She told me that she is concerned about how she will be able to ride here and is afraid we won’t find someone to continue teaching her using this same approach. Kelly and I have talked about this and we have a couple of places we need to check out. In the meantime, Ainsley and Sara will continue at the stable where they have been riding. In fact, today is their first lesson since we’ve arrived home. I will be very curious to hear how it went.
