Gina Krueger
Head Instructor

Gina Krueger owns Garland Farms with her husband John and coordinates all instruction and training. Gina is a USDF Certified Instructor and currently has 16 horses and their owners in training at the farm and her day is rounded out with about 10 additional students that trailer in on a bi- or tri-weekly basis. In her free time Gina teaches clinics in GA,FL,AL,OH,MO,ME.MA,NC,KY, and NV. Her students and horses range in their careers from beginners/just started 4 year olds to FEI competitors.

Gina's education began here in the United States under the tutelage of Suzanne Hoppman, who is the former Vice President of Education for the German National Equestrian Federation, and the author of the re-written "Principles of Riding". Gina has spent several years in Germany in the German National Equestrian Federation Riding Program in an effort to understand the organization of their very successful Educational System. Her education has been enhanced greatly over the years by participation in many USDF programs including Instructors/Trainers Forum with Jaap Pot; Judges Forums with Edgar Hotz and Axel Steiner; Regional Instructors Seminars with Major Andres Lindgren, Pre-r Judges Programs with Elizabeth Madlener, Micheal Mathews, and Bill Wood; USDF Vi Hopkins Seminars and the USDF National Dressage Symposium in Florida every year since its inception in 1992.

Over the past 5 years, Gina has had the distinct privilege of apprenticing under Maryal Barnett, an FEI "C" Judge and Clinician from Michigan. In this capacity, she has not only organized and hosted the Region 3 Annual USDF Regional Instructor's Workshop and Dressage Seminar held at Garland Farms, but has worked closely with Maryal in developing, compiling, and executing this wonderful educational experience. Gina has served as Vice President of Dressage as well as President for the Georgia Dressage & Combined Training Association (GDCTA), a USDF GMO and has been busy planning educational opportunities for its members. Gina organized a 2 day educational symposium held in 1995 and 1996 led by Gerhard Politz, who returned in 1997 for another symposium, per membership request. Gina also worked on the 1997 GDCTA winter educational symposium with Dr. Max Gwahler as the keynote dressage speaker. In addition ,Gina has served as a committee member for the USDF University program. Gina is also very active with USDF Certified Instructor's committee.

Since Gina is a USDF Certified Instructor, she pursued recognition by the USDF as a Workshop Leader. She has attended Instructor Pre-certification clinics and co-taught with Maryal Barnett an Instructor's Workshop sponsored by the Central Maine Dressage Association May 17-19, 1996 and again May 14-17, 1998. Teaching the workshops with Maryal was a vital step in gaining this recognition. The implementation of a structured Dressage Education System in the United States is a monumental task. Gina's goal is to do all she can to provide learning opportunities that educate the riders in our country for the betterment of Dressage and thus the well being of our horses.
